This raincoat has become a staple in our collection of raincoats and jackets. The hood of the raincoat, which can also be used as a sculptural collar, gives this raincoat a beautiful expression. An A-silhouette, a hood with multiple functions, and a prominent zipper are the result of an anorak-like design. This jacket has a cozy and elegant oversized A-silhouette with the option to cinch it at the back and a large hood-collar. The jacket still has this cozy feeling of being an anorak, but it now has a zipper down the front with a practical and decorative wind flap. The jacket has pockets, an inner pocket, and adjustable cuffs that can be folded up as needed. The jacket is highly water-resistant, but the seams are not welded and it does not have 100% rainproof details – so it is a good option for a transitional jacket for the wet spring or autumn, but not an alternative to a 100% practical raincoat. However, you get a luxurious piece of outerwear that can be worn in almost any weather.
Raincoats are simply our absolute core product and we never get tired of them. They are the most suitable coats for the Scandinavian weather because they are both windproof and waterproof, and lined with a warm and cozy wool lining. The raincoat has a long season and it lasts a long time, and it has a timeless and classic design. The jacket quickly becomes an indispensable part of the wardrobe and the easiest choice in changeable autumn weather. Can we go through an autumn or winter without having a McVERDI raincoat or jacket in our wardrobe? We don’t think so. It must be tried, enjoyed, and used.
The fabric
The raincoat is made of a combination of 65% cotton and 35% polyurethane, giving the fabric a rubber-like surface. The surface ensures that the coat is windproof and waterproof, while the cotton makes it practical and breathable. The lining is made of wool and polyamide. Normally, the coat cannot be washed or dry cleaned, but it doesn’t really seem necessary anyway. A damp cloth can be used to wipe it off, and it can be hung out to air in damp weather. If you feel that the coat really needs to be washed, it can be gently washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle, but this should only be done very rarely, at most once per season. The fabric is produced in Italy, while the coat is sewn in Bulgaria.
