A little more info …
Since the establishment of the company in 1987, the raincoat has been one of our most important products – and for many years it was known as “the rubber coats”. Lotte Honoré started the company by selling these black rubber coats in Copenhagen. Because the rubber coats are a classic from McVERDI, we continue to produce them. Normally, they are reprinted in classic black, but occasionally we add new special editions in other colors. This year, it’s this fantastic cobalt blue! The coat is warm, stylish, and practical. And it may be one of the most suitable coats for the unpredictable Scandinavian weather. It is truly a good investment in a practical and beautiful coat that we are confident you will be very happy with. The raincoat lasts a long time and has a timeless classic design. This raincoat, McC, is the first coat Lotte designed and has remained virtually unchanged from back in 1987 until today. It is a small piece of history for us at McVERDI, and it’s so lovely that year after year it still proves that it belongs in the collection. Long and lovely. The raincoat has a long season and lasts a long time, and it has a timeless and classic design. The coat is very water repellent, but it is not welded at the seams and does not have 100% rainproof details – so it is a good answer to a transitional coat for the wet spring or autumn, but not an alternative to the 100% practical raincoat. However, you get a nice piece of outerwear that can also be used in almost any kind of weather. The coat has a decorative zipper that goes all the way up to the collar and zipper pockets. It has fine stitching along the edges and on the back collar. The coat has an inner pocket.
The fabric
The outer fabric of the raincoat consists of a blend of 65% cotton and 35% polyurethane, giving the material a rubber-like surface. The surface ensures that the coat is windproof and water repellent, while the cotton makes it practical and breathable. The lining is made of wool and polyamide. Normally, the coat cannot be washed or dry cleaned, but it doesn’t really seem necessary anyway. A wet cloth can be used to wipe it off, and it can be hung out to air in damp weather. If you feel that the coat really needs to be washed, it can be gently washed in the washing machine on a delicate cycle, but this should only be done very rarely, at most once per season. The fabric is produced in Italy, while the coat is sewn in Bulgaria.
