A delicious long winter coat with a balloon silhouette in a classic black color that matches most outfits. The coat has a distinctive silhouette and a good weight, making it wonderful to wear. The coat also keeps the legs nice and warm. It has an oversized cut and is a really warm ‘floater’. The coat is perfect for a cold winter day, where you go for a long walk in the forest or along the beach. Add a stylish scarf and a pair of sturdy fashionable winter boots to this long, warm coat and you have a really nice and warm winter outfit. The coat has a hood and rib-knit wind cuffs in the sleeves, which makes the coat extra cozy and keeps the cold out. The coat closes with an asymmetrical closure with snap buttons, giving the coat a cool look. The coat also has an inner zipper, so it can be closed tightly. This winter coat naturally has large, comfortable patch pockets and Thinsulate lining.
The fabric
The outer material of the coat consists of 46% cotton and 54% polyamide (polyester). The high cotton content makes the winter coat breathable. The outer material is lightweight and has a nice, soft surface. At the same time, the outer fabric has a coating on the inside that makes the material windproof and water-repellent. The coat is lined with Thinsulate CDS100. Thinsulate is an insulation material (interlining) developed by 3M. It consists of small microfibers that are able to retain your body heat and keep moisture and cold out. The microfibers also adjust to your body heat and the temperature outside. Additionally, Thinsulate is thin and lightweight, making it often used in flight suits, skiwear, etc. The coat is lined on the inside with a lining consisting of 96% cotton and 4% elastane. We assure you that this winter coat can keep you comfortably warm. The coat can be gently washed in the washing machine, but it should only be done very rarely. Use a delicate wash program at a maximum of 30 degrees and a neutral, liquid detergent. Spin the coat an extra time – it will dry faster that way. If you get a stain on the coat, it can be effectively removed with a neutral dishwashing detergent.
The silhouette and fit
The coat is one of our CLASSICS, and is called the CARMEN coat. It has an OVERSIZE silhouette and a full length of 120 cm in size M. The oversize fit of the winter coat means that an extra 40-42 cm of fabric is allocated for extra width/movement. Therefore, you will experience that you can fit several sizes in this model. If you want the coat to be less oversize, we recommend choosing a size smaller. But to achieve the correct oversize look as shown in the picture, you should choose your normal McVERDI coat size.
