We love this type of multifunctional “shirt dresses” here in McVERDI and this one made from fluted corduroy is definitely not an exception. The long grey corduroy dress has buttons all the way down the front and it can therefore be used open as a type of coat and closed as a dress. The details on the collar comes from the shirtlook and they contribute to giving this dress a neat and proper look, even though the dress feels casula and comfortable to wear.The corduroy is soft and lusciuous and falls beautifully around the body. In adition to the classic shirt details, this dress also borrows from the denim look with double stitching and frozen jeans buttons down the front. The dress has long sleeves and a cute little slot detail at the end of the sleeves, that makes it possible to fold up the sleeves to a 3/4 length for a more casual look. In the front of the dress there are to significant sewn on pockets, that brings character to the dress and increases its functionality even more! All in all, this is a lovely dress, that will fit perfectly into any winter wardrobe.
The fabric
This shirt dress is sewn in a soft, light and very “complaisant” corduroy made from 100% cotton.The fabric is complaisant since it is soft and falls nicely as opposed to many other corduroy fabrics, which can feel quite rigid and thick. This corduroy is super comfortable to wear. Corduroy should be handled gently and shouldn’t be washed too hard. The dress can be washed in a washing mashine on a washbin programe, but we do not recommend to do it too often. An option is to wash the dress inside out. Let the corduroy dress dry and iron if it is necessary. The corduroy fabric is made in Italy and the dress is sewn in a family owned bussiness in Bulgary with whom we have been colaborating with for many years.
