A little more info about the shirt jacket…
This shirt jacket has a good lenght that makes it multi functional. The McVERDI shirt is closed with a row of small, cool and grey metal buttons. The shirt has a riunded china-inspired collar and 3/4 sleeves with a little slot detail. The long shirt should fit sligthly across the chest and it has pleats in the back which gives the shirt an A-silhouette as well as more width from the chest and down. The shirt is made from a multicoloured fabric, hear with nuances of grey, pink, green, blue and brown. They are all colours of autumn and they work beautifully together. This shirt can be stilled many different ways. Closed over a pair of slim or loose trousers, open as an alternative to a cardigan/jacket over an McVERDI dress. There are plenty of styling options and we love it!
The fabric
A trip to Japan and a little piece of vintage fabric in the suitcase on the way home. This was how the developing design process of this fabric started. We had only purchased a small piece at a flea market in Tokyo, but we loved the structure and how the printed yarn resulted in an uneven multicoloured effect. From this little piece of fabric, Massimo (our Italian fabric designer) printed yarns and developed a series of colourcombinations that made it dificult to choose from. For this years’ winter collection we ended up choosing a combination of grey nueances weaved with red and green. The fabric is composed of 97% cotton and 3% polyester. The fabric is from Italy and the shirt itself is sewn in Europa in a family owned factory in Bulgaria. Handwash the shirt or wash it on a washbin program. Let the shirt dry on a hanger afterwards, then it doesn’t wrinkle as much.
