This dress has a very special feeling to it. The fabric is quite heavy, but moves nicely around the body- and you feel well dress and kind of safe when wearing it. It is really one of the best feeling I know to zip up a well fitted flattering dress. Put your hands in the pockets and feel how this dress encourage you to join the summer. Because of course this dress has pockets!! They are important to help you feel free and unlimited, when wearing dresses. This dress is so easy to wear. You can use it for work or more special occasions. You can use it with high heels or a pair of sneakers. You can use the dress with a shirt or blouse underneath, with a bolero or a summer sweater. Whatever look you want. I can only recommend this dress – which has been my own wardrobe favourite for some time now! /Juliane
The fabric
A trip to Japan and a little home brought a piece of vintage fabric. This was what started the whole development- and design process of this wonderful fabric. We just brought a little piece at an antic-market in Tokyo, but we were in love with the structure and the way the coloured yarns gave it a multicoloured effect. Out of one simple cut did Massimo (our Italian textile designer) find coloured yarns, and developed a selection of colour-combinations which made it very hard to choose. For this September20 dress I choose this red/green/blue colour combination. The material consists of 97% cotton and 3% polyester. The material is from Italy and the dress is sewn in Europa at a family-owned factory in Bulgaria. Wash the dress at a delicate/hand wash program in the machine, and afterwards let it dry on a hanger – then it wrinkles less.
The silhouette and fit
September|20 is the more petite subbrand of McVERDI. Be aware that the sizing system is very different from McVERDI sizing and the fitting is different. September|20 is more fitted and often hourglass-shaped and you should choose your size based on your chest width and waist width.
- THIS DRESS IS FITTED: dresses, with a fitted silhouette around the body. Often hour-glass-silhouette. The dresses are meant to be tight and “tailored”. The FITTED dresses only have a couple of centimeters of width added as room for movement = the below measurements are very close to the chest/waist measurement of the dress/skirt. You should choose your size based on both chest and waist width.
