A bold oversize McVERDI coat sewn in Harris Tweed®. All Harris Tweed® is characterized by the following definition: “Hand-woven by the islanders in their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, finished in the Outer Hebrides and woven from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.” The material is from sheeps that has grassed on the islands west of the mainland of Scotland and a material with a years-long tradition, craftsmanship and professional pride. We have chosen a Harris Tweed® in checks of light blue, green and brown with light stripes of yellow and orange. An autumnal combination with character. It’s a oversize and long coat – so cool! It has an oversized large collar and large attached pockets. The coat is lined with acetate lining and has a small inner pocket with a button closure.
The fabric
The coat is sewn in wool quality consisting of 100% wool and not just wool, but the world’s most famous material: Harris Tweed®. The real thing from Scotland. The wool coat is lined with 100% acetate. The coat cannot be washed, but cleaned if necessary. However, it is probably not necessary, as wool is self-cleaning and can often be refreshed with a trip outside. The fabric is as mentioned original Harris Tweed® from Scotland, while the coat is sewn in Bulgaria.
The silhouette and fit
The coat has an OVERSIZE 2 fit and comes in four sizes. Size 1 corresponds to xs/s, size 2 corresponds to m/l, size 3 corresponds to xl/2xl and size 4 corresponds to 3xl.
