This year our McVERDI skirts are a little bit longer and we really like that. This skirt has gained some length and also a small and flattering A-silhouette. A denim skirt for autumn and winter is definetely a must have and easy to style. This fabric quality is really durable and can therefore be used year after year without problems, acutally the skirt only gets more beautifull with time and wear. This skirt has small pretty side pockets and is closed with a jeans button and a zipper. A pair of long cool boots will give this skirt a 60’ies vibe.
The fabric
The skirt is made from fabric that is composed of 63% hemp and 37% ecological cotton. Hemp is a great material for clothes and it has actually been used for clothes making for many years ago – before cotton and silk were used. Hemp has come to stay. It wrinkles less than cotton and hemp is extremely durable. So because of the mix of materials in the fabric, this skirt has advantages such as less wrinkles, longer durability and the material will not appear worn after time. Futhermore, for this fabric quality, we have used a “garment washed” method, which means that the fabric has been washed severeal times before production and it contributes to the look of the skirt by adding some edge. For this denim blue material we have used a orange/brown thread, which really brings a cool detail to the skirt. Handwash your skirt or use a washbin program for your machine. Wash the skirt seperately or with similar colours and avoid light contact surfaces in the beginning. You can iron your skirt at low heat and let the dress dry on a hanger. The denim skirt is designed in Denmark, the fabric is from China and it is sewn at a family owned factory in Bulgaria with whom we have been working with for many years.
The silhouette and fit
This skirt has our LOTTE silhouette with a slight A-cut. The skirt has a full length of 70 cm in a size medium.
The Lotte skirt
McVERDIs Lotte skirt is our classic, basic skirt fit and a good basic skirt to have in the wardrobe. It has a well-fitting shape, which has been adjusted through many seasons. It is typically a little shorter when in winter versions while it has a little more length for summer and bare legs. But it varies from style to style and the fit can be used for longer skirts as well.
