This is the kind of coat that sways around you, almost like a cape, so it is impossible not feel beautiful in this coat! The coat is not lined and therefore it is quite light to wear. It feels less like a coat and more like part of your autumn outfit. The oversize and casual silhouette is enhanced by the big sewn on pockets, where you can keep all you need – so there’s no need for a bag!. The coat has a cool shirt inspired collar that makes it even less coat-like. THe coat is closed in the front with pierced jeans buttons. You can use this coat as a coat in the early autumn months and use it as a blazer or cardigan durting the winter. Either way, the coat will always look super cool.
The fabric
The coat is made from fabric that is composed of 63% hemp and 37% ecological cotton. Hemp is a great material for clothes and it has actually been used for clothes making for many years ago – before cotton and silk were used. Hemp has come to stay. It wrinkles less than cotton and hemp is extremely durable. So because of the mix of materials in the fabric, this coat has advantages such as less wrinkles, longer durability and the material will not appear worn after time. Futhermore, for this fabric quality, we have used a “garment washed” method, which means that the fabric has been washed severeal times before production and it contributes to the look of the coat by adding some edge. For this denim blue material we have used a orange/brown thread, which really brings a cool detail to the coat. Handwash your coat or use a washbin program for your machine. Wash the coat seperately or with similar colours and avoid light contact surfaces in the beginning. You can iron your coat at low heat and let the coat dry on a hanger. The denim coat is designed in Denmark, the fabric is from China and it is sewn at a family owned factory in Bulgaria with whom we have been working with for many years.
The silhouette and fit
This coat has an OVERSIZE 1 silhouette and comes in the sizes 1 (xs-s), 2 (m-L), 3 (Xl-2Xl) and 4 (3Xl). The coat is big and loose but still falls nicely around the body.
